Jin Kim

Former FBI Supervisory Special Agent

Special Agent Kim held critical leadership positions in the U.S. government, both as a U.S. diplomat (former FBI Legal Attaché to South Korea) and as a high-level FBI official supervising high impact investigations.

FBI Career. Agent Kim spent two decades in the FBI (New York, Washington D.C., Columbia), among others, as the Acting Unit Chief of the National Joint Terrorism Task Force, and as the Unit Chief of FBI-HQ Directorate of Intelligence. In addition to directing the FBI’s National Joint Terrorism Task Force at the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) and managing the FBI’s Confidential Human Source Program, Agent Kim led various Joint Terrorism Task Force Training Conference training more than 1,000 agents and prosecutors on counterterrorism priorities and was tasked to establish guidelines and strategic counterterrorism plans to over 4000-member Joint Terrorism Task Force Officers and all 103 Joint Terrorism Task Forces assigned to all FBI offices nationwide.

Education. Mr. Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University in New York in 1993 and from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia, in 1994. He was trained as a Special Agent at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia and as an FBI Firearms Instructor. Mr. Kim is bilingual in Korean and English.
